A recent great “murder mystery” space theme evening for our 11-18 group
We run our Sunday morning activities for children and young people at St. Martin’s Community Centre just up the road from the Church but meet together once a month for a family service, at which many of our young people help lead the worship.
Once a year in June or July we all go away for 24F, usually an overnight stay on Herm or camping at Les Vauxbelets.
A night walk on Herm for YACAs
We also run various groups during the week for different age groups. See below for details.
Roundabout is our pre-school toddler group run by a team of helpers and our children and youth worker, Kate. Roundabout meets every Wednesday morning in term time at 10am to 11.15am for stories, songs, run around and play. We meet in St. Martin’s Community Centre, taking up three rooms and the main hall for our soft play area, so there’s lots to do – including craft activity based on our story for the day.
Each week begins with music with the children playing percussion, followed by a story and then play. We have a quiet room for refreshments (see below) and story time. All our toys are clean, well looked after and renewed regularly. Come and join us. It’s free too!

Explorers, Searchers and YACAs
Each Sunday for the first 45 minutes of the service, our young people have their own programme in the Community Centre but join us for the last 15 minutes of the service.
Explorers is for 3 – 6 years old.
Searchers for for 7-10
YACAs is for 10+
YACAs also meet after the morning service for games, trips, special events and food!
Messy Church & Mini Messy
Our Big Messy Church runs once a term in St. Martin’s Community Centre and we get anywhere between 200 and 300 adults and children for a great afternoon of craft activities, celebration and supper together.
Our themes have included Messy “I am” sayings, The “messy” life of Jesus, “Messy Kings and Queens” and many more.
As we have so many at our termly Messy Church, we also run “Mini Messy” which meets monthly and has limited numbers. As an example of the kind of thing we do at a Mini Messy, our theme in May 2018 was ‘a Royal Wedding’ and nine families came along. We told the story of the Wedding at Canna with very loud worship songs, made bunting and never-ending cards and there was pretend wine tasting and afternoon tea. Sister Kate had a team of nine people to help (plus the important people who baked and made cakes!)
If you would like to attend a Messy Church or Mini Messy, please contact Kate Hatton for details (07781 161572). Both of these meet on a Tuesday afternoon after School from 3.15pm. Please see posters for dates of termly Messy Church.
Please join us – it’s free too!
