FURTHER INFORMATION
THE CHURCH
St. Martin’s Parish Church is set in the heart of the village of St. Martin’s and is a thriving fellowship where people of all ages and backgrounds worship each week. The Church is in the central Anglican tradition and we enjoy a mixture of both contemporary and traditional Anglican worship, with a wide variety of Liturgical and musical tradition.
Groups for children from aged 3-16 meet at the Community Centre during worship and join the congregation for the last 20 minutes or so. The Church has a thriving pre school group which meets on a Wednesday morning, with approx 40 - 50 adults plus children.
The Church has excellent relationships with the community, particularly with the local Primary School, where we take weekly assemblies and run an after school club. There are numerous groups in the Church, catering for all ages and these meet at the Community Centre during the main 10am service. They join the congregation for the last 20 minutes or so of worship. The Church has four homegroups. We also work in partnership with St. Martin’s Community Centre, which sits on Church land.
The Church leadership includes our Rector, Mike Keirle, an Honorary Assistant Priest, Richard Bellinger, a licenced reader, Jim Williams, a part time children and family worker, Emma Keirle, Churchwardens and an Advisory Church Council.
